Whether you love it or hate it, Valentines Day is here and couples skip around hand in hand talking about being in love and stuff. While I shall be mainly stood around shouting things like "EWW GROOOSSS", to make Valentines Day that bit easier for myself, and for you - I've done a little playlist.
This started off as an idea for my radio show earlier this week but I've decided to share it with the rest of you!

It's here, whether you like it or not, Valentines Day is upon us and is either filled with girls swooning over how great their man is, or everyone else crying into a tub of Ben & Jerry's a la Bridget Jones.
I'm a bit of an inbetweener when it comes to Valentines Day, I'm currently single and have been for a while. Though, yes, it would be nice to have someone buy me all sorts of goodies and spoil me; I am also quite content with the fact that I'm still in my pyjamas after midday, with mascara smeared around my eyes and a day off work to relax. Last year I saw Ben Howard in Portsmouth with some friends and it was the best Valentines I'd ever had, (obviously I spent the whole night believing he was singing directly at me).
Today, for me, will be just like any other. I'm going to write a few things, tidy up my room a bit and listen to music. It's funny when you really listen to songs, how many of them are focused around love, I'd say a good 80% of all songs ever written are. Whether it's a "YOU ARE MY SOULMATE AND I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER" or a more negative "FUCK YOU, YOU WHORE" approach. Lyrics stem from the heart, that is either filled to the brim with giddy lovey dovey goodness, or drained out to a shrivelled mess.
So whether you're sneering at all the couples galavanting about town hand in hand, preparing the perfect evening for your loved one, or if you just want something to listen to today. Here's a few songs to suit all Valentines day folks. Whichever one you are.
